I wonder how many emails I get a day. It seems like they come in all day long. I also get several sales calls a day from people trying to sell me their products and services. My initial reaction is to avoid the sales calls and delete all emails from people that I don’t know. I’m probably not alone in my reaction to being bombarded by others to get my attention.

And yet, I want others to know about our video services. I’m sure many of you want others to know about your products and services. The good new about video is that it does grabs a person attention. There is something that is irresistible about that little play button. Video is simply becoming the most common way that people want to acquire information. Here are some ways that video can cut through all of the noise and grab someone’s attentions:

1) You can create an image of your video with a play button in the middle of it. You can then insert this image into a email that has the embedded link to your video. Most often, the person will just scan your text but will click the play button on your image.

2) During a meeting with a potential customers, you can show a video on your iPad. It’s a quick and impressive way to share your projects and services.

3) You can tell your prospective customers that you will send them a link to a video. They may not be willing to listen to your sales pitch over the phone. But, they may be willing to look at a video on their own time.
